It's a pity the text is contaminated by this syndrome that makes "America" the center of the world. Take this excerpt from element 104: "America didn't have an accelerator that could repeat this experiment but in the efforts to not let the Russians get the best of us during the cold war we did it our way." Our way? What do you mean by that?
