New Carving

June 22nd, 2007   (201 views )

I've had the itch to carve in the last few days. The last time I printed for myself I wished I had something new to add into the block combination possibilities. So here is my latest on 8" x 10" shina:

new block

The black marks are because this is the backside of a block I've already printed. The pattern is from the non-slip shelf mat I use as my inking station.

I'm not sure if I want to add another element so I'm stopping for the night before I clear the whole background in a mad frenzy. Why do I start to carve at 10 p.m. and then end up being awake until one clearing large areas? Just a few more minutes Mom, I promise... then I'll go to bed.
