About the Element Ununoctium (Uuo) was first produced in experiments in Dubna, Russia in 2002 and again in 2005 by colliding a beam of Calcium (Ca) at Californium (Cf), Ununoctium being the result. Only a few atoms of the element have been produced. It is presumed to be a radioactive, colourless gas. Visions of pleasantly mad scientists smashing atoms together to see what happens is what comes to mind.
