About the Element
Dysprosium is a chemical element in the periodic table that has the symbol Dy and atomic number 66. The name dysprosium is derived from the Greek dysprositos meaning "hard to obtain".

It was first identified in Paris in 1886 by French chemist Paul Émile Lecoq de Boisbaudran. It can be found in the manufacturing of compact discs.

About the Print
A copy transfer. A reverse photocopy of the final image is placed faced down onto the receiving papers surface. Then a blender marker is used to transfer the copy ink to the new paper.
